SALES ASSOCIATE

Nicole Miller is seeking a part-time sales associate to join our team of upbeat, hard-working sales associates at our Madison Avenue store. We are looking for someone who will go above and beyond to make our customers happy and build lasting relationships, continuing contact with our customers beyond the initial sale. The associate will be responsible for capturing name, phone and email address, as means to stay in touch and build relationships. The associate will also be responsible for maintaining the visual and housekeeping standards of the store. This will include the receiving of merchandise and presentation to the selling floor, processing of markdowns and removal from the floor for transfers. The associate must have an ability to successfully operate our point-of-sale (POS) register system and operate our email system.

  • Prior experience in retail sales is preferred
  • A sales driven, goal oriented individual
  • Positive, high energy, friendly, outgoing and engaging personality. Must be willing to take the first step to initiate contact with the customers and identify their shopping needs.
  • Demonstrate strong verbal and written communication skills allowing for effective communication with your customers
  • Possess computer skills to operate our software tools
  • Must be able to lift, carry or otherwise move objects weighing up to 15 pounds when merchandising the sales floor and use ladders or stairs

  • Achieve and exceed the personal sales and productivity goals agreed upon with your store manager
  • Demonstrate complete product knowledge to maximize the sales opportunity
  • Be a quick thinker who listens to the customer and can identify his/her needs and overcome objections if raised
  • Responsible for client development beyond the initial transaction; utilizing phone, email and written follow-up contact
  • Maintain the housekeeping and visual standards of the store
  • Safeguard the store’s inventory by adherence to the company’s loss prevention program
  • Follow all store operational policies and procedures
  • Client Book Management and Clienteling

ECOMMERCE INTERN

NYC-based fashion brand Nicole Miller seeks an intern to help our growing e-commerce team. The intern will work with our team to help maintain pieces of the e-commerce back-end, merchandise product on the web site, and help organize and conduct product photo shoots. Additional responsibilities will include editing photos in Photoshop, brainstorming email marketing campaign ideas, and helping our Retail and Digital Marketing Coordinators. This is an excellent opportunity for a highly motivated college student or recent college graduate to gain an understanding of the workings of a growing e-commerce business within a well-established fashion brand.

PUBLIC RELATIONS INTERN

The Nicole Miller public relations department is seeking responsible, self-motivated interns with a strong interest in the fashion industry and public relations. Ideal candidates are proactive and self-starters, with a positive attitude and infallible work ethic. Interns will learn the basics of Fashion PR, including sample trafficking, relationship building, event production, press outreach, and more. Interns must be able to work at least 2 days a week with the hours of 9AM-6PM.

  • Pursuing or already have a college degree
  • Previous internship experience
  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment and prioritize tasks

  • Maintaining organization of all sample closets
  • Assisting with sample pulls for various editorial requests
  • Tracking and cataloging Nicole Miller press in relevant media outlets (print, digital, and broadcast)
  • Provide assistance to PR team on photo shoots, events, and market appointments
  • Administration support including running occasional miscellaneous errands
