Favorite Ice Bars Around the World
It’s about that time again! Fashion Week is back, and for this year’s Fall 2016 Collection Nicole looked to the ice, and more specifically the Nordic Region for her runway inspiration. As a pre-celebration, we thought we'd share with you the best way we know how to incorporate ice into our weekend- drinks, drinks, and more cold drinks. We’ve done our research and found our favorite ice bars all around the world- stay bundled and enjoy!
1)Minus5 Ice Bar is New York City’s very own arctic bar located on 53rdSt. and 6thAve. Everything inside Minus5 is made of ice; the walls, the bar, the seats, even the glasses you sip cocktails out of. The bar always has imaginative ice sculptures throughout that are continuously changing. An LED light show and DJ create quite the experience in New York City’s winter wonderland.
2) The Absolut Ice Bar in Stockholm, Sweden gives a new meaning to the phrase “on the rocks”. Drinks are served in hollow ice cubes; the walls and tables are also built with ice harvested from the Torne River on the border between Sweden and Finland. The ice bar and its frozen furnishings are rebuilt every six months.
3) The Absolut Ice Bar in London is the UK’s only permanent bar made of ice and is kept at negative 5 degrees all year round. Once a year the entire bar is completely transformed with a new design theme and layout by a team of skilled ice designers and sculptors. The designers build on the tradition of groundbreaking innovation and style, which has made The Ice Bar London famous.
