From the bride:

We got married on New Year’s Eve at Homewood Castle, which was built in the early 1900’s in the post-victorian neighborhood of Montford, which is located near the prestigious Biltmore Estate.  It was important for us to maintain simplicity and elegance as we didn’t want to take away from the existing beauty. Following our ceremony the main ballroom was turned over for the reception while guests retreated to the study for cocktail hour. After the cutting of our stunning cake (made by Waynette Scruggs of Sweet Promises), which was adorned with rhinestone bands, pearled fondant, and handcrafted snowflakes, the band began to play some livelier tunes and the guests danced the night away before toasting to the New Year at midnight. All in all it was an absolutely perfect and magical night. The Dakota gown certainly made me feel like a queen and the regal setting of Homewood Castle made it easy to feel like you popped out of the pages of a fairy tale.
