New York has always been a source of inspiration for me. Its energy, its art, its people, and its constantly changing creative landscape have influenced my work throughout my career. There is always something new to discover here, and I think that sense of possibility is what keeps me excited about design.
The evening brought together so many familiar faces, including my good friends Meredith Marks, Kelsie Watts, Luann de Lesseps and Candace Bushnell. It was such a great mix of personalities, each with their own sense of style, which felt very New York to me.
It was so nice to see Caroline Vazzana, Nicky Hilton and Candace Bushnell wearing pieces from the new Spring/Summer 2027 collection. They each have such a distinct sense of style and I always love seeing how different women make my designs their own.
For Spring/Summer 2027 familiar signatures return in new proportions, alongside playful graphic prints and intricate craftsmanship. Silks and satins meet the structure of leather, while sequined skirts, sheer mesh, intricate embroidery, and feathers bring texture and dimension to the collection. Custom glass hand-beading, meticulously crafted in India over hours of skilled handwork, adds a couture-like quality to the pieces.
It was especially meaningful to see guests wearing both pieces from the new Spring/Summer 2027 collection and archival Nicole Miller designs. Looking back at some of these older pieces alongside the new collection was a reminder of how the brand has evolved over the years.
More than anything, the evening was a celebration of creativity, community and 45 years of doing things my own way. And I can't think of a better place to celebrate than New York.
